Back at River Rocks

This Thursday I'll be performing at River Rocks in Rockledge from 5 to 8 pm. River Rocks Restaurant owners Mike and Tracy have long supported my musical and other professional endeavors. They have created a great place with River Rocks - people really enjoy 'dining on the deck' on the Indian River. The food is great and the staff members are always friendly. The bar is a great spot - you can pick your view. I of course, have a bird's eye view of the whole thing from my perch in the corner. I'm grateful for that perch, and the chance to play music there monthly.

A Special Writer's Night...

I love Writer's Night held the first Monday of each month at Nolan's Pub in Cocoa Beach. This is one of the places where I was welcomed many years ago. Welcomed, encouraged, fortified, applauded and loved.  This is a place where my friends gather, where creativity reigns, where music is often born.  On Monday, March 6th I'll be hosting the first ALL FEMALE Writer's Night at Nolan's. I'm honored to have been asked. I can't wait to hear the music.

My latest song... Raylene

I'm so glad that people are enjoying my new song Raylene. The song idea came to me because of a friendship that my daughter had. She had a best friend - the kind of friendship girls have in their early 20's. Friends that are confidants and alibis. Sometimes, some people, take it a little too far.

SHHH A Songwriters Round

I was fortunate to take part in a new musical event on Florida's Space Coast this past Saturday evening. OPEN MIKE'S, a coffee lounge/musical venue located in a local music store, hosted "SHHHH A Songwriters Round." Our host Mike, set the tone by asking the audience to cooperate in a "no speak - just listen" evening.  He went on to say that four songwriters would talk about their songs and perform their original material in a round. He said, "We've never tried this before, we're going to see how it goes."  Well...

As one of the songwriters it is entirely possible I'm biased, but it was heaven. And by all other accounts, the evening was wildly successful. We had a packed house and you could hear a pin drop. I'm posting a video from that show - it is of my new song, Raylene.  I hope you enjoy it.

Green Gables

I've been invited to sing at Green Gables for an Open House event on Sunday, December 3rd from 1 to 4 pm. Green Gables is a historic home being purchased and restored by a dedicated group of citizens in the Melbourne area. I'm looking forward to entertaining as people enjoy the massive oaks and the riverfront breeze while imagining life at Green Gables in the early 1900's.

Be grateful for something everyday.
